Rupture Disc Overview
A rupture disc (also known as a burst disc or bursting disc) is a non-reclosing pressure relief device designed to protect pressure vessels, pipelines, reactors, and processing equipment from dangerous overpressure or vacuum conditions. The disc is engineered to rupture at a predetermined pressure, providing immediate pressure relief and preventing catastrophic equipment failure.
Our rupture discs are manufactured with high precision to ensure accurate burst pressure performance, excellent leak tightness, and long service life. They can be supplied as forward-acting, reverse-buckling, or graphite rupture discs to meet different industrial requirements.
Suitable for chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, petrochemical plants, food processing facilities, power generation systems, and other critical industrial applications.

FAQ
A: A rupture disc is a one-time-use pressure relief device designed to burst at a predetermined pressure to protect equipment from overpressure conditions.
A: A rupture disc provides instantaneous pressure relief and remains leak-tight until activation, while a safety valve opens and reseats repeatedly during operation.
A: No. Once a rupture disc has burst, it must be replaced with a new disc.
A: Can DIN 7080 sight glass be used under pressure?
A: Yes. Custom sizes, burst pressures, materials, and holder assemblies can be manufactured according to customer requirements.
