The Self-Cleaning Vessel Sight Glass is specifically designed for applications where deposits, crystallization, condensation, sludge, or viscous media frequently obstruct the viewing area of conventional sight glasses.
The assembly integrates a mechanical scraper or wiper system that can be operated during production to continuously clean the inner glass surface. This allows operators to maintain a clear view of liquid levels, mixing processes, reaction conditions, foam formation, and product characteristics without shutting down the system.
Unlike standard sight glasses that require periodic shutdown and manual cleaning, the self-cleaning design significantly reduces maintenance time and improves process reliability. The scraper mechanism removes deposits directly from the glass surface while maintaining vessel integrity and sealing performance.
The sight glass can be supplied with borosilicate glass, fused quartz glass, or tempered safety glass depending on process requirements. Housing materials include SS304, SS316L, Duplex Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, and other corrosion-resistant alloys.
